Later, Dr. Fadigan accepted the challenge of implementing these Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines into, at that time, the nation's largest corporation - American Telephone and Telegraph (AT&T). While at AT&T, Dr. Fadigan was directly responsible for the company's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs. These programs virtually established the criteria used for the hiring, firing, transferring and promoting of AT&T's 960,000 work force. During this period he developed and tested one of the country’s first "Structured Interviewing" models which became AT&T’s standard interviewing model. At the end of his six-year career with AT&T, Dr. Fadigan founded a consulting firm, Fadigan & Associates, (F&A). F&A successfully implemented comprehensive Employee Selection and Development Programs in more than 300 major U.S. companies. Many of the innovative programs developed by F&A during this period literally established national standards. Dr. Fadigan has served on two Presidential Commissions related to workplace practices. He also has taught at several universities and is widely published.
